Terms of Service
Effective date: July 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Packstage LLC, an Idaho limited liability company ("Packstage," "we," "us"), governing your use of the websites at getpackstage.com and app.getpackstage.com and the Packstage service (together, the "Service").
The short version, in plain English: you own your data and can export all of it anytime; Packstage is a bookkeeping tool, not a tax advisor, and you are responsible for your filings; estimates are labeled as estimates and you should verify numbers before relying on them; don't upload data you don't have the right to upload; the Service is provided as-is with our liability capped; disputes go to informal resolution first, then arbitration, and you can opt out of arbitration within 30 days. The full Terms below control.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement, and if you use the Service on behalf of a business, that you have authority to bind that business, in which case "you" means that business.
2. The Service
Packstage turns a live seller's own sales exports, inventory records, and purchase costs into bookkeeping: item-level sales matching, cost of goods tracking, per-show and monthly profit and loss statements, and tax-time exports. The Service works from files and data you provide. It does not connect to your selling-platform accounts, does not scrape any platform, and does not interact with live streams.
Early access. The Service is currently in early access. Accounts may be placed on a waitlist, and access tiers (such as alpha and beta) are granted at our discretion and may be modified or revoked. Early access features may change, break, or be discontinued without notice. Whatever your tier, your right to export your data (Section 4) always applies.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for all activity under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication. Notify us at hello@getpackstage.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 14).
4. Your data
You own it. As between you and Packstage, you own all data you submit to the Service and all books derived from it, including inventory records, photos, imported files, ledger entries, and reports (collectively, "Your Data").
Our license. You grant Packstage a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Data solely to provide, secure, and support the Service for you, and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when Your Data is deleted from the Service.
Export. You may export a complete copy of Your Data at any time with one click. This right survives changes to your access tier and continues through the wind-down period in Section 14.
How the ledger works. Packstage keeps financial records in an append-only ledger: entries are never edited in place, and corrections are recorded as new entries with the originals preserved. Voiding or archiving records in the app preserves them in a restorable state. This is how the Service maintains trustworthy books and is not a limitation on your deletion rights under the Privacy Policy.
Aggregated data. We may use aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you or any buyer to operate, analyze, and improve the Service. We do not use Your Data to train general-purpose AI models, and we contractually restrict our AI providers from doing so.
5. Data about other people
Files you import may contain information about your buyers, such as usernames and order details. You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload and process any data you submit to the Service, including any information about other people, and that doing so complies with applicable law and with the terms of the platform the data came from. Packstage processes buyer information only to build your books, as described in the Privacy Policy. You, not Packstage, are the owner of your customer relationships and are responsible for honoring any obligations you have to your buyers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of law or these Terms, or upload data you lack the right to use.
- Probe, breach, or test the security of the Service, or access another user's workspace or data.
- Interfere with the Service, including by overloading it or introducing malware.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Service or its components, except where law permits despite this restriction.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a service bureau, or use it to build a competing product.
- Use automated means to access the Service other than interfaces we provide.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
7. Third-party platforms and data sources
Independence. Packstage is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whatnot Inc. or any other selling platform. Whatnot and all other platform names and marks are the property of their respective owners. Your relationship with any selling platform is governed by that platform's own terms, and you are responsible for complying with them, including how you obtain and use your own exports and recordings.
Market data. The Service attaches market comparisons and card identification data from third-party sources (such as Scrydex, Scryfall, pokemontcg.io, TCGplayer, and PSA certification records). That data is provided by third parties, changes constantly, and may be incomplete or wrong. We do not control it and do not warrant it.
8. NOT TAX, ACCOUNTING, OR LEGAL ADVICE
PACKSTAGE IS A BOOKKEEPING TOOL. IT DOES NOT PROVIDE TAX, ACCOUNTING, LEGAL, OR FINANCIAL ADVICE, AND NO OUTPUT OF THE SERVICE IS A SUBSTITUTE FOR ADVICE FROM A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL.
The Service organizes your own numbers, computes totals, and maps categories (including common Schedule C categories) for your convenience. Those mappings are informational defaults, not determinations of how anything should be reported. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you provide, for reviewing your books, and for your tax filings and business decisions. We strongly encourage you to have a qualified tax professional review anything you file. Packstage will never assume that responsibility, and Section 12 reflects that allocation of risk.
9. Estimates, matching, and accuracy
The Service is explicit about certainty. Figures that rest on assumptions are labeled as estimates (for example, estimated cost of goods based on an adjustable percentage of market comparisons), and coverage states show how much of a show is settled with real data. Matching (including text matching and recording-based suggestions) produces suggestions for you to confirm or reject; nothing is booked from a recording automatically. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming your books before relying on them. Labeled estimates are estimates; treat them that way.
10. Fees
The Service is currently free during early access. We will announce paid plans before charging anyone, with at least 14 days notice before any feature you are actively using moves behind a paywall. When billing launches: pricing and billing terms will be presented at checkout; payments will be processed by our payment processor; charges are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for; and except where required by law, fees will be non-refundable. Continued use of paid features after a price takes effect constitutes acceptance of it.
11. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding Your Data), is owned by Packstage and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. "Packstage" and our logos are our marks; do not use them without permission.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
12. Copyright complaints
We respect copyright and expect users to do the same. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent: Packstage LLC, Attn: Copyright Agent, 784 S. Clearwater Loop Ste B, Post Falls, ID 83854 US, hello@getpackstage.com. We will respond to valid notices, may remove identified material, and will terminate repeat infringers' accounts in appropriate circumstances. If your material was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, including that your show recordings are processed on your device and never uploaded. It is part of these Terms.
14. Term and termination
These Terms apply from your first use of the Service until terminated. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable.
Wind-down. For 30 days after your account is closed (by you or by us, except for serious abuse), you may request a complete export of Your Data. After that, we may delete Your Data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Survival. Sections 4 (ownership), 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 15 through 20 survive termination.
15. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; THAT MATCHES, ESTIMATES, MARKET COMPARISONS, OR CATEGORY MAPPINGS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE; OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) NEITHER PACKSTAGE NOR ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, TAX LIABILITIES, PENALTIES, INTEREST, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (B) PACKSTAGE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID PACKSTAGE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. These limits apply regardless of legal theory and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
17. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Packstage and its members, managers, and employees from and against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) Your Data, including any claim that data you uploaded about another person was collected or used unlawfully, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of a third party's rights or of a selling platform's terms. We will promptly notify you of any such claim and may participate in the defense with our own counsel at our expense.
18. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 19, any dispute that may be brought in court will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, and you and Packstage consent to their jurisdiction.
19. Dispute resolution and arbitration
Please read this section carefully. It affects your rights.
Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, you agree to email hello@getpackstage.com with a description of the dispute and give us 30 days to work it out with you. Most problems are fixable this way.
Arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Packstage agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its rules (its Consumer Arbitration Rules where they apply), rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted by videoconference or, if an in-person hearing is required, in Boise, Idaho, unless the applicable rules require a location more convenient to you. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service.
Class action waiver. All disputes will be arbitrated or litigated only on an individual basis. Neither party may participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, then that claim (and only that claim) must proceed in court, and the rest of this section still applies.
Coordinated filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against Packstage by the same or coordinated counsel, the parties agree the AAA will administer them in staged batches to promote efficiency, and filing fees will be due only as each batch proceeds.
Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement entirely by emailing hello@getpackstage.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" from your account email within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms or your use of the Service.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes, we will give you at least 14 days notice by email or in-app notice before the new Terms take effect. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and export your data before the effective date; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
21. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Packstage regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on that subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. You consent to receive notices and agreements from us electronically at your account email address; notices to us go to hello@getpackstage.com or our mailing address above, and notices are deemed given when sent.
